At the beginning of July, my family had the privilege of joining a youth camp in Tarlac, Philippines for one week, and then continuing to a short mission to Ticao Island, Philippines for a second week.
In the camp, we had worship training and practice every morning, where we worked on using our spirits more by taking away all kinds of distractions and worries from our minds. Through the practices, I realized that my mind could go very fast, and at times I may be using my mind to “enjoy” some of the content of the worship, but what I need is to help my heart to deeply feel and “taste” being in God’s presence. When I can be fully before the Lord, my heart can enjoy the truths and have light from Him, which makes a very big difference. Now, coming back, I try to help myself in the same way during my own personal time with God and in meetings. I feel more focused, drawn to God, and able to receive God’s messages to me.
