Alpha, Sunshine and Pillar dinner gathering – Blue Ngo

In the children/high school coworkers’ dinner gathering last Saturday ( I missed it, but I listened to the recording), Sermon mentioned about the recent children’s revival in Hong Kong. Sermon’s sharing cleared some of my old concepts. I have been serving in the children’s group for more than 10 years, and Sermon helped me to see that children can have good understanding of spiritual things, and they are old enough to understand the bible and to make decisions about getting baptized. In the past, it seemed that it was good enough to let the children (especially the lower grade ones) wait until they grew up to learn about salvation, that they could just learn some bible stories and get some impressions about God. But this time, I had a renewal that I need to know how to prepare them to know about the salvation and teach them to enjoy God daily. I am glad we have the way to enjoy eternal life. I believe the younger ones can also enjoy reading the bible, singing hymns and praying to God. I just need to put all I’ve learnt into the children’s version to make things easier for them to understand and do. I see the great hope ahead and pray for the children’s revival in Vancouver as well!
