I have strength to overcome swearing! – CJ Manuel, Grade 8

Just about a year ago I hated going to church because I thought it was boring. And at school I would always swear and cause trouble in class. But when I got moved to the high school group, I got to be around people that are around my age and I felt more comfortable. They also got me to join more activities which were really fun. Then i told Amy that i swore a lot at school and I wanted to stop. So we came up with a plan for her to call me every morning before I went to school and we would pray about our day. And to help me from swearing, also replacing swear words with other words. Now I don’t swear as much as I used to. Only if I’m mad or in rage then I can’t control it, and it just comes out. But I’m working on it. So I thank the Lord a lot because He helped me to overcome my habit of swearing, and for answering my prayers. God is good!

Thank God I got baptized.

My goals are to get my WHOLE family in the Philippines to believe in the Lord and to read the Bible more so that I can know and love the Lord more.
