The Father’s Love – Michael Li

Recently, I have been in awe when my son looks at me and smiles at me. I remember at the beginning, he did not like me and when I held him, he would always cry. I tried to figure out what was wrong. I was reminded that I should not only hold him when I try to put him to sleep but I should make an effort to play with him and spend time with him. After the reminder I really made an effort to do so, and my son now likes me very much and always smiles at me.

My brother and sisters! My family! – Winnie Ng

In the past two months, I have been joining the morning team time where we worship together and pray for the church. This is a time where several “older” brothers and sisters would join and when I knew this, I felt intimidated and scared. At some point, I felt like I didn’t belong here because I am younger in spirit, and my prayers and sharings are incomparable to theirs. But I slowly came to realize that this was a huge barrier for me and my mind set was not right. I should not feel distant at all but I should

Man sharpens the countenance of his friend – Christina Kwan

Within the past month, our group has been focusing a lot on a strengthening piece to set our spiritual foundation: partner time. We made goals to have regular phone prayers, and draw near to God together. I found that pursuing, sharing, supporting, and praying together has really helped the sisters grow closer to each other, and closer to God. “Just as iron sharpens iron, man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” (Proverbs 27:17). We make each other better, and we edify one another. I have been able to share how I experience God in my daily life and what I

Re-setting my lifestyle – Blue Ngo

I give thanks for having a way to live close to God day and night. Through the recent review of the 10 points of good lifestyle and daily schedule in our Wednesday cell group meetings, God reminds and encourages me to further improve my daily schedule. Since I have changed from working to taking care of a newborn, and having more time at home, I am readjusting my schedule, especially re-setting my anchor points. I also enjoy the precious prayers more, and have a focus every day. For example, I will sing when I feed the baby, take a break

2014 October 14th Jeremy (Grade 3) I enjoyed eating sushi and watching a movie. I enjoyed worshipping God, reading the Bible and singing songs. Heman (Grade 3) I enjoyed eating ice-cream and watching TV. I learned how to make sushi. I learned how to use the booklet “Enjoy Eternal Life”. Timothy Chow (Grade 4) I learned to prepare dinner, and I enjoyed watching the movie. I learned to draw near to God more because I don’t do it at home all the time. Elijah Cheng (Grade 4) I enjoyed watching the movie and eating breakfast. I learned to sing songs.

A New Creation – Elon Suen

I give thanks more for the truth of the new creation. Once we accept the Lord, we are made perfect before God forever. This means that I am no longer a slave of sin but a child of God. This truth is indeed very precious, but when I think of eternity, I realize that making me into a new creation is just a necessary step for me to gain greater blessings. I believe when I am without sin and have the transformed body, I’m already very glorious. What’s even more wonderful is that I am made perfect to be the

Praying for sisters – Wai Ying

I give thanks to God that I am able to have progress in praying for sisters. When I pray for the coworkers in my group every day, I find that I can think of them more, and also be considerate of their needs more. Knowing their needs more helps me to know how I can support them and be supported by them. Also, I experience the Lord answering my prayers for the sisters too. This is such a wonderful family!
